BRING back the aircraft carrier Strategy

this game was perfect with combat with ship and aircraft carrier strategy send out fighters to intercept enemy bombers or escort your own bombers it took tatics now its just so sad and lackluster

The old strategy was literally just:

>deathball all your bombers into a single giant cloud
>pick virtually any target of your choosing (usually starting with the other team's carrier)
> instantly erase them from the map in one attack run like the finger of God
>micromanage your planes back to the ship while avoiding other enemies

So what you are saying is, bunch a bunch of your aircraft together to attempt an alpha strike and then die horribly to any semi competent enemy CV who just strafing runs your massive death stack of aircraft and takes about a third of your bomber aircraft out of the equation for the rest of the match. Great plan!

so the WG forums are gone... well then ill tell here again

i stoped playing Carriers, beause there is no RTS style anymore...

it was perfekt, like the Artilery in Wrold of Tanks, has a top down overview from the battlefield and could command lead the team, it was with the CV

and it really was why mor fun, feeling commanding a carrier, now i drive planes...
that is not what i want to play in a ship game...

i dont care about meta or if it was hard to play, yeah i strugeld alot playing CV but i loved it anyway!

and it was fantastic, when i was doing good matches

bring back the real CV expirience it was as RTS commander!

Objectively speaking the new system is what WG wanted
Made carriers more popular
Made it so there wasn't an insane skill gap between bad carrier players and good carrier players
It really doesn't matter if you liked it more or not, the way it's set not is better.
It achieves what they wanted to have done.

Also if a post is more than a few months old between replies...JUST LET THE THREAD STAY DEAD INSTEAD OF REVIVING IT!

Yes please bring it back. I would play carriers again. My old wargaming account and not current steam account had 911 battles in carriers. I tried 5 battles under current system and not for me.

Rework was 5 years ago. Carriers are played more now than they were before the rework. It wont be changed back.

Go do your own research if you are that interested. Two of the stated aims of the rework were fixing the fact that CVs were very underplayed and also there was a massive skill gap between good and average players which needed to be addressed. Both aims were achieved.

And it was five years ago. Over half the time the game has been fully released. You really think they will roll back the changes due to a handful of people who get misty eyed about how great they think they remember CV play was in the past?

Can we make Pork Jerkson the only RTS CV in the game... I think it needs that buff to become more useful and useless at the same time. It's a CV that will change the tide of battle (In the favor of the enemy)! WHOO!
