And just so you know, while receiving compliments and getting karma is nice, the only in-game benefit is an increase in the number of compliments and reports you can give out on a daily basis, based reaching certain karma level milestones. I mention it only because some folks hope there may be tangible rewards.
aye just played a really fun T1 game ;) was just me and 1 guy, rest of the team died so fast, we each got 4 kills and won the game hehe :) so i sent him a compliment ofc.
If there's nothing on that account you would miss - i hope you grabbed this https://steamcommunity.com/app/552990/discussions/0/1621724915766672149/ . If not and don't have anything you'd miss on the current account(purchases, nickname) - there's a way to recreate account linked with Steam.
In any case i can assist you :)
No way for that. As you understand +compliment for +compliment and -report in revenge for -report would not be a good idea. Compliment those you feel DESERVE it, not in response, one of them might be that complimenter, might not. Currently karma doesn't do much anyway, so it's not that important, just a simple gesture.
You can still compliment your friends and people you know if you wish if you meet them in a battle, as long as you're not in a division with them.
Click Profile, it's a small number near your nickname. There's no limit and it can't go below 0. Having more karma lets you give more compliments&reports per day.
There were some minor rewards for that before, now it's on rework, might return someday. I still like looking at my karma nevertheless
I'd heard there were. I'm guessing it was being gamed, thus it just granting the extra compliments and reports now.
Side note, slightly sad panda I was earlier. Had my best GK match yet, but sadly no compliments. 208k damage, top XP, 4 kills, confed, high caliber, close quarters, flesh wound, and even added a cap and some cap defense ribbons for good measure. I died just before we won, but not before earning over 4 million potential damage in total (double my average).
Yes, I'm a little smug and proud, heh. XD
theres a way to link the old non-steam account? :o how? I never played any beta, just did before it came to steam. unless that was beta and I didn't realise it? :p
honestly tho its been so long, a new account might be good to relearn everything, even tho T1-3 feels like im smurfing atm hehe. even had a game with 6 kills all on my own. but this also happens on the other end sometimes, if they have a good player, he will murder my entire team hehe. gawd its good to be back!
I already notice they nerfed the hell out of my ♥♥♥ DD's tho haha. I guess it was needed.

Mind that it breaks Steam achievements and Steam wallet for this game, but otherwise it's feasible.
If you've played before July 2, 2015 - it was a closed beta phase; after that there was a short open beta phase and formal release. So depending when you have played - you do or do not have your former progress on that account, but account itself should be there(and purchases on it). You remember your login(email) and password or at least region and nickname?
Mind that before you reach tier 5 or account level 12(IIRC) you're in a newbie matchmaker (only playing with or vs another newbies) and ships with nicknames like :This: are bots - even in Random battles mode, but they still give good rewards and it's good for getting a grip on the game. Against real players it would be more challenging :)
Yeah, they were hit by at least 2 significant nerfs on my memory, not to mention global smoke and "long-distance invisible shooting" nerfs. They're my favorite branch and i still like them, but i also recommend trying Pan-asian branch - i love stealthy devastating deepwater torpedoes
Shimakaze would be a bit buffed in the next update, and torpedoes in general - they would be 50% less visible from the air, at the moment their surface visibility = air visibility.
