Edit: Went and checked and it seems all CVs have a 60s damage control duration (during which time no more fires/floods/pings will stick) and it has a 90s reload. So obviously after your first ping no more would apply for a bit.
I kid of course but as mentioned above they have auto repair parties that last a really long time.

we don't plan on changing Hydroacoustic Search so that it can detect subs at maximum depth. Please note that it still detects them at all other depths.[blog.worldofwarships.com]
