Transfer of Commander skills to a new Battleship
I have a Georgia who's Commander (Admiral) has 21 skills. I now have returned to the US Battleship tree with a North Carolina. I intend to work up through the Iowa to the Montana. If I transfer the Georgia commander to the North Carolina will he have to go through retraining or will he retain his 21 skills?

Sorry, confused time to target with range, DUH!. But effectiveness remains my biggest issue with Georgia's guns. They don't contribute in Random Battles. I can hit targets at max range and closer but to little effect. To see 3850 lbs rounds richochet of superstructures is frustrating.
Ok everything makes 500% more sense now.
Though rounds shouldn’t ricochets shouldn’t happen to superstructure with battleship guns ever, because of overmatch, but the point is still there.

And, as all American ships it is a floating gas station waiting for any little kid with a match to set it on fire. Don't even get me started on Salem, what a joke!, waisted coal. In its
current configuration it is a IX at best. Nice rate of fire though it should be every 5 seconds ( 12 rounds per minute not every 5.5 seconds. it's main guns range is uncompetitive. It was one of the best protected Heavy Criusers ever built and AA was the best for is time. But I digress. Thanks for your comments.
The range is the main reason I’ve been afraid to try the Des Moines class, even though I would like too. But if it adds more appreciation, it’s the best heavy cruiser ever built — the Des Moines and Salem are that in game too, if you consider that it’s the only heavy cruiser ever completed in the entirety of the game at tier 9 and 10, apart from the Alaska at tier 9. In at least that aspect, it can claim that it requires blueprint project designs and similar just to conceive of cruisers that can compare to the Des Moines class.
The only other cruiser that exists in the range is the light cruiser Worcester.

Also to add, it isn’t US ships exclusively that burn, they don’t burn any more than other nation (in fact Salem and US battleships are slightly better because of improved heals that heal 100% fire damage). While the 38mm deck armor of US BBs is decently HE-resistant to most 6” and 8” guns.
I can confirm, I’m usually the one with the lighter.

I still don't believe that there's any difference on rudder shift and turning circle between game modes, sorry. Unless you tend to go slower in Random than in Coop, where BB play is... Let's say very straightforward. Usually literally. If you are on slower speed, it will obviously take you longer to complete a turn (in a tigher circle however).

And ever since I saw a Salem duel, out-dpm and thus kill a Moskva, which is not considered a bad ship in the least, I will not underestimate that ship anymore.

You're right, there isn't.
