Extracting Ship Horn Sound source files
I have been trying to do this for the longest time and all the tutorials or fourms I visit are too old and irrelvent with how the game stores the files. does anyone know how to extract the source game sound files, mainly for the ship horns.

Skip the first step of that thread, as that's not relevant to WoWs, and the use of revorb may not actually be needed depending on your software. I do just fine with the raw ogg files convered by ww2ogg.

Sorry, i don't think you'll find answer here :( Better ask in the modding subforum or on reddit, surely someone must have done that.
It's not easy because sounds in the game are in uncommon format afaik.
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I have my audio going out via a soundcard (Old NI Audio Kontrol 1) and into a mixing desk/speakers. I can also route sounds going into the desk to go into the sound card Line ins to be recorded. I can just hit record on Audacity or Cubase and it will record it as a wave. Pretty clean. Then you can clean it with top and tail.
