Download Steam or Official Version?
Just curious as to if there's any reason to download the official version rather than steam. I have a World of Tanks account, so I'm also curious as to whether I'll be missing out on anything if I create a new account for WoWS via steam?

if you go through client, all the premium time you have in WoT will carry over to WoWS and vice versa

if you don't have premium time in WoT and don't care to have your account connected to 2 games get it on steam

If you already have a World of Tanks account, just use that account with the official client.

If you have any existing accounts with them DO NOT use the Steam version, it force you to make a new account and you can't link with any other accounts you have with Wargaming :steamfacepalm:

Hello, dear Ultima.

In your situation the only real benefit for having WoT + WoWs account is the Premium time - because it is shared between the games (World of Tanks, World of Warships, World of Warplanes). So, if you're considering buying Premium time AND playing WoT, you should definitely use the standalone WoWs client and your current WG account.

Otherwise, it's up to your preferences. Standalone WoWs and Steam WoWs content is the same, and all players share the same servers. Your gameplay experience will be the same regardless of the plarform you choose.

Thank you for being interested in our game, and have fun!
