but if you really want to try it find the world of warships folder in steam if you use steam for this or just in your computer folder if you don't then go to the res folder enter that and then make a folder and title it usermusic then insert our mp3 music into it

then go into the settings ingame and find the option that switches from ingame music to user music
Do you mean the res_packages folder?
No, res folder.
\World of Warships\bin\1690929\res\usermusic for current version

Nope. Just res.

There's actually instructions under (over?) the checkbox for using your own music in the options menu.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Also keep in mind that with every update you'll have to move the usermusic folder over to the new game folder.

Rather than just overwriting files in place, WoWs (on Steam) actually creates a new folder (the one that's a string of numbers inside the bin folder) and set of game files on update, and it doesn't copy over the user stuff from the older game folders (it deletes most files from versions that are more than one patch old I believe, but the folders remain for some time, maybe forever, after that). The latest version is always the highest number.

The feature has been fine for me except for the week or so when it was outright broken at the start of 8.5. I only use a single mp3 though. Not sure how it handles multiple files.
