Where is the resolution of the game set in xml nowadays? NOT preferences.xml

It used to be preferences.xml in the main map. But my preferences.xml doenst contain resolution settings only <scriptsPreferences>
According to google and some old ( 2015 ) forum of world of warships there should be something like this:

<windowedWidth> 1920 </windowedWidth>
<windowedHeight> 1018 </windowedHeight>
<fullscreenWidth> 1024 </fullscreenWidth>
<fullscreenHeight> 768 </fullscreenHeight>

somewhere in the preferences.xml but is gone in the current version of the game, where is the resolution stored nowadays?

Looks like user_preferences.xml in the main directory.

edit: It doesn't look as structured as how you're saying people said it used to look, but it's easy to find right near the top.

No that is not the specific set resolution already look into that one. It are the defaults for fullscreen, windowed etc etc NOT the SET resolution i need a Dev reaction on this where is the resolution of the game set nowadays? ( registry or something obscure? )

I don't think the dev's usually watch the forum here. I would post on the official forums or else contact support on that one.

Also when i set the aspect ratio to 21:9 the game ( especially after restarting or computer shutdown ) sets it to AUTO all of the time. ( and AUTO causes crashes )

I need to find the file ( that contains the aspect ratio setting ) to make it read only so the game cant change it anymore.

I don't know if this will help you but...

I found a solution years ago by just not playing full screen. I can't even tell you if it crashed, just that it didn't work - and it was really long ago.. World of Tanks, but they're basically the same. The game does not natively support "odd" resolutions. I have done it so long I can't tell you if it's even necessary, but I play in a window. Full screen or not, either works, but I play on a 48:9 setup with 3 monitors.

I'll take a look when I can and see for sure what mine says, but it's some weird thing... 5760x1041 or something. (because of the task bar I suppose)

21:9 is common enough I'm surprised you're running into an issue though. I don't recall seeing people talk about it before which makes me think it may not be the game but rather some hardware issue.

I would still recommend contacting support. Usually they're fast - a few hours. You might update your graphics driver so you can tell them you have already done that as almost certainly they'll ask you to that first thing.
