Removing T10 ships from the techtrees

In case you are grinding (or want to grind) the German T10 BB Großer Kurfürst or the Russian T10 DD Chabarovsk you only have a few months left before they will be turned into coal ships.

They will be replaced by different ships that have to be grinded by playing the T9 ships Friedrich der Große and Tashkent again unless you already have the neccessary XP on them.

If you have researched these ships but don't have them in port or you reset the tree for RB tokens you'll still keep them when they become premiums. Read the devblog if you want to know more.

Großer Kurfürst I do not have, so I should feel sad…?

But holy #### the new one looks 1000x better. Großer Kurfürst weird look was probably the main reason for not playing the line, but this looks properly German!



Delny looks better than Khabarovsk too imo.

Both old ships are not very good. Kurfürst never was and Chaba got nerfed repeatedly. They also had to deal with a ton of powercreep.

I love GK myself. My WR in that ship is significantly above my average. The only thing that sorta moved me away from it is Ohio. Can't say much about Khab as it never appealed to me, but I'll definitely wrap up the line so I can get the coal version for free.

I heard Großer Kurfürst was good, only excluding when secondaries were needed for a bit, but I heard mostly good things about it.

My complaint wasn’t performance, it was visual. I just don’t like the look of Großer Kurfürst. The new one is FINE, it looks like a proper H-class design.

I don't have GK on live, but on PTS with the new secondary redo, it was lots of fun.

Comrades! It has come to our attention that the Khabarovsk has become merely a worse Grozovoi. Therefore, we have removed it from the tech tree and replaced it with a worse Grozovoi.

Also, yet more 18inch guns being added to the game, as if Tier X wasn't campy enough already.

The compensation for previous owners seems pretty nice though.

I would say it is. 300k isn't much for a Spacial/premium. You should have more than enough time to grind it off you want

I THINK it says if you ever got it, and reset the line, it'll give it to you regardless. So theoretically, you can do both even, right? Get GK AND put it to the Ohio?

So if GK is becoming a coal ship, does that mean that Pommern is likely to get removed at some point in the future? It would not make sense to have 2 German secondary BBs available for coal, would it?

I'm only 20k coal away from being able to get Pommern, so I am hoping to grab it this upcoming patch.

20k coal shouldn’t be a problem, they usually announce removal of ships 1-2 updates before at least. Though hopefully I don’t see why 2 German battleships would be a problem, both are different tiers too.

It depends on how many ressources you have. It seems there will be no more additional free XP ships in the future (like Gröningen) so you might have more overall but Ohio is also indefinately stronger than Kurfürst. I'd use them for the RB without hesitation.

I only have ~650k, and there are still 2 or 3 more unique upgrades I want too so I guess I'll skip GK then. Maybe off-topic, but is the Harugumo UU worth it?
