New orleans lost all ship XP?
As the title says. I fired up WoWs last night (first time in a while as I was at work on the "real" Iowa during Fleet Week) (shameless plug) and found that my New Orleans cruiser had zero (0) ship XP. It still had all the upgrades and Commander's skills but almost 100k of ship XP was gone!

I did get the ship as a bonus when the US Cruiser line split but those points were hard won. Also, I did recently get the Baltimore but that was with common xp and in game currency.

Just curious I guess as what's done is gone I suppose. *sigh*

Thanks, Chris.

This ^, during splits the ship xp stays with the tier not the ship.

As above posters said that XP probably got on another ship since the split but you haven't noticed that till now. Maybe this would clarify the matter: https://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/game-updates/american-cruisers/#tree-changes

Thank you all for your replies but y'all aren't quite understanding.

I got the ship as a gift (?) when the Cruiser split happened and my Cleveland leveled up, which caused it to lose all it's ship XP.

New Orleans had all it's ship XP as recent as 8 days ago which was the last time I played WOWs until yesterday. And as "backside retentive" as I am, I usually check all my ships to see how much ship XP I have on each one every time I launch the game (and write it down once or twice a month).

No worries, I'll still be out there playing, after all I need to get some ship XP back for Nawleans!

Thanks guys. Chris.

One question I have now that I'm thinking about it, I play on two different PC's; this one is my home PC and I have another at work in my stateroom on the battleship Iowa (yes, the real battleship!)

I'll have to check tomorrow and see when I fire up the game if New Orleans has the same ship XP both places. I know it should, but .......... ship happens.

Thanks again. Chris.

Nah, that's impossible, all data is stored on server of course.

Maybe it was elite XP and you converted it to FreeXP? If you really want you may try asking support if they see actions like that performed on your account lately: https://wargaming.net/support/en/products/wows/help/
Something got mixed up, but we can't know what :steamsad:

Ok I kinda figured that was the case. As for converting Elite to free XP, what is ship XP regarded as? Maybe I was going to sell Nawleans and the PC crashed or the Iowa's power went down when I was on my PC at work?

Funny how my home electricity is so stable never goes out, but because we are connected to shore power thru a system of huge transformers at the Iowa we lose power once a week, takes our LAN as well as WiFi (and lights!) and server down.

As I said before, ship happens. I was just curious. I won't bother Support, I'm sure they are already swamped.

Thanks, Ryuu and all! Chris.

When every module and next ships are researched — then ship's XP is considered elite ship XP and can be converted. It's not lost even if you sell the ship.
In any case that XP went somewhere :)

At least no blowing up main guns :hee: Is it still in the same condition? I haven't finished wikipedia article, so much text about scapegoating :steamfacepalm:

Hehehehe. Nope, I was not one of the Iowa crew in that video. I was one of the guys in the red hat and red shirt down on the pier in front of the ship trying to keep a handle on things. :rfacepalm: Wow what a day that was! I have to say that all the WoWs team and players are very very enthusiastic.

This was the second year y'all were at the battleship, wasn't it? With the scavenger hunt? Crazy, you guys were all over that ship. What a fun fun day.

Right now all you hear is grinding and sanding and working, taking advantage of the downtime to do much needed repairs. When we open up the gates again it will be a shining example once again of America's might in WWII.

Take care, and next time y'all come by, you better ask for "Arizona Chris" . (did I mention we have the big guns open for tour?)

Oh, i was hoping you'll be interviewed too :) I didn't know so many crewmembers actually know about WoWS :)

Good that you have time and funds for that! I heard some museum ships are really having problems due to the situation.
