Submarine in a training room?

I would like to do some training with the submarine, however when I create a training room and select the submarine my player shows that there is no ship selected and I can't ready up.

Is this intentional, or is there another way to create the training room?

Subs will be able to into the training room when they are no longer in testing I'd imagine. Right now they're still being tested - they're not exactly a concrete part of the game. When they are, you'll have to earn them via xp rather than having them given out as rentals.
