Game does not launch (launches and crashes, no error)
I have tried the following:

Usually the problem is in not installed/corrupted prerequisites:
launch (choose install or fix)
\World of Warships\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010\DXSETUP.exe
\World of Warships\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2012\vcredist_x86.exe
\World of Warships\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2012\vcredist_x64.exe
\World of Warships\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2015\v_credist.x86.exe
\World of Warships\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2015\vc_redist.x64.exe

If you have VC Redist 2017 - it replaces VC 2015 and you won't be able to install it. In that case find it (Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable both x86 and x64) in Programs and Components and either uninstall to install VC 2015 version or just choose "Fix".

Try launching
\World of Warships\bin\clientrunner\clientrunner.exe or
\World of Warships\bin\939750\WorldOfWarships.exe
it might reveal the problem. Steam tends to "swallow" windows with errors, so it's a handy advice for Steam games in general when they don't launch at all.

I have also checked for integrity.

The game actually launches for me randomly, but not every time I ask it too oddly enough.

Pretty brute force fix and not a very enlightening one, but it did work. I guess it removed the "foreign files" the game apparently had. Are these leftovers from previous installments? (never installed any mods due to the dubious "we can ban u for any mod" policy).

Well, if it launches sometimes — it's unlikely to be connected with prerequisites.

How much RAM do you have? Do you get any error messages? They probably would only be seen if you launch .exe directly.

You can take a look into logs in \World of Warships\profile\ but most likely they would only be useful for Support: https://wargaming.net/support/products/wows/help/

8GB ram, and I have tried launching from clientrunner.exe and wows.exe. Launching from clientrunner gives no message, and wows.exe gives a small blank message box with "OK" as its only option.

Like (2) here?

But that was for PTS-client with extra foreign files :/

Maybe you should try reinstalling with deleting all leftover files in game's folder. Or asking Support, maybe there's something useful in the logs.

Did it work fine earlier or you've started recently?

Yeah. Not sure why thats the case.

I haven't been playing much of late so I can't say, but it was working maybe a month or two ago. I could probably just reinstall the game, thought I already verified and that didn't find any issues.

Mind that this doesn't remove files that shouldn't be there and sometimes they matter. You haven't used standalone client before? I know that trying to use files from it leads to some launch errors even after integrity check, exactly due to aforementioned reason.
So if you uninstall the game for reinstalling be sure to delete all leftover files in the folder, aside from preferences.xml maybe, though you might want to try without it to be sure.

BTW there's an update tomorrow, so you might want to wait with re-installation till that.

greetings WOWS and wargaming, my game crashes on game play loading screen (before the battle starts) and I cant login into the game immediately because of the recent updates. but it is odd, because I read that there will be maintenance update in 6.00 AM in asia, but I was playing WOWS before I receive my update (around 10.00 - 13.00 GMT +7). But after Crashing (in between 13.00 - 13.30 GMT +7) the game updates, and I cant participate on my last game

will my next game be suspended because the update issue I'm having?
and why the updates looks like having trouble downloading, I've checked my internet, they work well
thankyou,

Hmm, check files integrity and if it doesn't help — please contact Support: https://wargaming.net/support/products/wows/help/

And check that you're not running out of RAM.

Tell me if that worked, interested for future cases :)

If not, can you please create DxDiag report and upload it somewhere?

Shame indeed, sorry i couldn't make it simpler. But thank you very much for valuable info, it likely means that it was indeed because of some alien file, would be handy for similar cases — and i think i have one like that currently.

Next time that happens you can make a list of files running the following command:
dir "G:\games\Steam\steamapps\common\World of Warships" /s /d >> "%userprofile%\documents\WoWs files.txt"
Change WoWs path before running it. The txt-file would be generated in My Documents folder, upload it somewhere and i hope i can help finding the culprit :)

Are these leftovers from previous installments?
I wish i knew. What do you mean by previous installments, you said you never had standalone WoWs? You mean just previous updates? Afaik it shouldn't cause anything like this… hmmmmm. Have you used my Ultra sound patch BTW?

Actually no, all mods from well-known modpacks (which are posted on official forums) are safe to use. Or single mods if they're posted on official webforums, all mods are checked there. i'll include this in Steam FAQ.
