Manually changing course wouldn't make the ship stop though, it would just continue to edge of map
@OP, "halfway" means how far away? CVs have awful rudders and turn radius, so they might be forced to stop somewhere near since reaching closer would be tricky.
What button keys can turn off autopilot, anyway?
Are you holding down Shift as you set your waypoints?
Sounds weird then. If you still can't figure it out — might try asking Support. Not sure, maybe any extra connected control devices can mess this up, maybe not, i don't have any connected.
I got xbox one gamepad connected via wireless bluetooth adapter, but I don't think that this thing could be a problem.
