Super container rewards.
So today I finished a Tier VI match in Random Battles and gained 2000 XP. Opened a container for resources and I got a super container. I was expecting another signal drop (got 30 ouroboros and 100 something before, got another 2 unexpected super containers drop). Out of expectation, I got a ship drop (Le Terrible, Tier VIII destroyer, a permanent premium ship??? And 10 extra commander points). I got super confused after this drop. Is this really normal? If premium ships do drop from containers, doesn't that mean some p2w ships are also in these containers? Which might make players invest more on containers for that? Btw can I have a list of basic drops from super containers? Thank you.

Super containers can be anything in the game really. Flags, camo, premium time, premium ships, coal, steel, free xp... Ships are exceptionally rare though. You were extremely lucky. In 4 yrs of playing I've never got a ship : / They're usually either camo or signal flags.

It's not really pay to win since you can't buy them though. Besides, you'd have to buy one hell of a lot to get even a single ship, and virtually every premium ship ever released is in the possibility of a drop as far as I know.

Here is the info on containers from the Wiki.[wiki.wargaming.net] It doesn't give a specific set of ships but from what I remember is any premium ship in the game is available in super containers. Some that may not be are the Black ships or ships that you need special currencies for like the Flint or the Stalingrad. Ships that are in game but removed from sale like the Missouri or Belfast are also available in these super containers.
I'm going to assume that the two supercontainers you "randomly" got were really the invite link reward for finishing your first tier 6 ship battle.

And, yes, most premium ships can drop from them, it's just rather rare.

Good luck with the new boat. It's the fastest thing in the game at tier 8. But aparently fairly difficult to master, as the French Destroyers don't have smoke generators.

Also, just to be clear, premium ships are NOT neccessarily any better than tech tree ships. They just have some differences to them. You still need to have good skills to be able to play them well.
So first of all congratulations on this sick drop!
Many many months ago i had a same situation. Played some games, earned xp, collected containers...
I collected the Resource one and got the SC - and out of this super box (like a hare) came out the tier 8 USN BB Massachusetts with 10 p commander (I have a SS of this - one and THe only one ship drop i've got so far). It is pretty rare to get a ship out of the SC. even SC are pretty rare to drop. Good job mate!

Wow , you lucky B :steammocking:

Never got a Ship also, mostly 100 flags with 20% extra credits hahaha
Congratulations , Le Terrible isn’t as bad as the English translation may let you think.
French destroyers with their speed and reload booster and fast reloading torps are really fun to play. As Torch says French DD’s aren’t the most easy to master but they can be very rewarding. Team up with a radar/smoke cruiser or a DD and you can have a hell lotta fun :steamhappy:
Congrats! I've only recently gotten Wichita as my first SC premium.

Pfff. The only things I've gotten out of supercontainers that I've valued are coal, free XP, and dubloons.

That said, yes, SCs can contain ships that were removed from the shop because they were too strong, since it contains a chance at all normal premium ships (including ones like Musashi and Kronshtadt, which were for free XP rather than dubloons).

Getting supercontainers is pretty rare. Getting a ship out of a supercontainer is also rare. It's rarity on top of rarity, so don't expect this to happen often, if at all.

Update: I also got a Scharnhorst B from a single Black Friday container (I used my free 500 doubloons the game gave me). I thought ships only drop from supercontainers, not those specific containers with special camouflages. I also noticed that Le Terrible nor Scharnhorst me progress me any further in the tech tree. Why can't I use the free EXP on next tier ships, although Scharnhorst B is just a variable of the original Scharnhorst and is similar to the original? (Before getting these 2 ships, I was progressing on in Tier VI and this tier jump made me really confused)

The 2 supercontainers I got, if I'm not mistaken, are also from daily shipments. Was playing to get 2000 exp for resources and it just arrived out of nowhere.

Nice one man!
Black Friday ships drop from Black Friday containers. So, specifically only "B" variants can come out of those. Those aren't even considered the normal versions of the ship, so you can have both Scharnhorst B and Scharnhorst in port.

You should be able to use Free XP on tech tree ships, that said, ships that are fully researched (so all premium ships, since those have no research that goes into them) earn Elite XP, which isn't usable unless you spend dubloons to convert it to Free XP (which I wouldn't recommend doing, since the conversion rate isn't great). Every battle will earn you a small amount of Free XP, but is's something like 10% of your regular/elite XP earned from the battle unless you use signal flags to boost it.

I had the feeling of using a gun boat. Terrific, but my, does it last long. I often die pretty early ingame due to many reasons, most are poor maneuvering or outgunned by multiple enemy ships. I rarely use dds so I'm hooked up to more learning ^^

If you didn't see an animation by specifically collecting it when selecting a container type, it's definitely from a directive rather than a daily crate.
