how do i use the exp from my tier 2 smith to research other ships

You need to convert the XP to freeXP using doubloons. Unfortunately, Doubloons cost cash. At low level it's not worth it, play through the tech tree line, most ships only take a few games at low tier to unlock the next one. Try loads of them to understand how the strengths and weaknesses of each line/nation.

Definitions of reticule

It's likely they're asking about regular XP. For that just click Modules, research required modules, then research next ship and buy it.

For other nations you have to stars from tier 1 ship.

As they specifically mentioned the Smith (a premium ship), I figured they meant the XP from that ship which can only be exchanged by doubloons.

Seems like an extremely common error, even Google translate shows a lot of incorrect examples. I guess because there's a word in French with that spelling or maybe it got French origins.

Oh, you're right, i didn't notice Smith being mentioned. Yeah, premium ships are not for researching other ships in general, they're for credits and training Commanders. And having fun on weird ships. Smith is almost a submarine lol, forward torpedo angles are nice.

Pretty sure that isn't actually an error though.

From google:
ret·i·cule
ˈredəˌkyo͞ol/
noun
noun: reticule; plural noun: reticules

1.
historical
a woman's small handbag, originally netted and typically having a drawstring and decorated with embroidery or beading.
2.
variant spelling of reticle.

From Wikipedia:
A reticle, or reticule (from Latin reticulum, meaning 'net'), also known as a graticule (from Latin craticula, meaning 'gridiron'), is a pattern of fine lines or markings built into the eyepiece of a sighting device, such as a telescopic sight in a telescope, a microscope, or the screen of an oscilloscope, to provide references during visual examination.

From Dictionary.com:
reticule
[ret-i-kyool]
See more synonyms for reticule on Thesaurus.com
noun

1. a small purse or bag, originally of network but later of silk, rayon, etc.
2. Optics. reticle.

From Merriam-Webster:
reticule noun
ret·i·cule | \ ˈre-ti-ˌkyül \
Definition of reticule

1 : reticle

2 : a woman's drawstring bag used especially as a carryall

From Oxford:
Definition of reticule in English:

reticule
noun

1 historical A woman's small handbag, typically having a drawstring and decorated with embroidery or beading.

2 variant spelling of reticle

It seems to be an accepted alternate spelling in actually literally every dictionary.

Yeah, you're right. Unlike "vehicule" and "calibur" which i also see often in this hub :hee: Vehicule at least is a French word indeed.

(tongue in cheeck, mostly, i think?) One of the secret French weapons of war against the English was to 'sabotage' the spelling of words, so that every generation of English children will be so confused by it, their education will be set back at least 3 years apiece! And the English are too snobbish to recognise the problem.

At Least America had the good sense to repair allot of the damage, for which the English ridicule them???? WTF?

Sounds like an yet another one conspiracy theory, we have similar one in Russia, that refers to imaginary USA's https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dulles%27_Plan

is the central document of a conspiracy theory, according to which the CIA chief Allen Dulles had developed a plan for the United States to destroy the Soviet Union during the Cold War by secretly corrupting the cultural heritage and moral values of the Soviet nation. The plan was first published in Russia shortly after the dissolution of the USSR and was often quoted by prominent Russian politicians, journalists, and writers.

The "plan", written in the form of a villain's exposition, describes how the United States will destroy the Soviet (Russian) people from within by means of a "fifth column" seeking to corrupt basic cultural values of the Soviet society. This is to be accomplished by subverting the carriers of this culture (literature, theaters and cinema) to promote violence, depravity and other vices. In addition, these agents will work to plunge the governmental structure into chaos, bureaucracy and corruption, as well as sow nationalism, ethnic hatred and mistrust among the general populace.

Worth noting you can bind the push to talk commands to other keys. I find having having "Concentrate fire on that target" much easier to use bound to G so I dont have to mess around with the F keys etc.

And N to toot horn as mentioned. Some clans have worked out how to play short tunes in training room ;)

Generally i recommend setting auxiliary functions to keys that you can access with your left thumb, meaning ZXCVBN row because 3 fingers are busy with WASD already and pinkie is dealing with Shift. Though i still send quick commands using F1-12 keys since in WoWs we can set constant engine power with W/S and constant turn with Q/E keys.
