How Can I play with a Controller?

I want to play WoW with a Ps3 Controller (recognized as xbox 360 Controller on windows) Has sb. tried it succesfully out? You can answer in english and Deutsch.

I've no idea about Xbox or PS controllers, but perhaps a Steam controller would do the trick?

I have been using Steam controller with mouse since day one of playing WOW (Nov 2017). I use the controller mainly for driving and steering...I recently added some key binds for controls I think I like to use most during game. (Like quick binocular view, Wilco, focus on..)I could get rid of the mouse, but the sensitivity of the mouse vs the thumb pad on controller is so big I kinda want to stay with the mouse.
