Russian BB builds?

I dont know what to use on Russian bbs, Im probably going to go with my regular build for bbs ( PT, AR, BFT, AFT, SI, (SE for Russian bbs to make the meme hp even memer, almost 70K at tier 7, and more then 110K at tier 10), and maybe Viligance for incomming torpedoes, (should be 19 if I mathed right), but what kind of build would be reccomended?

and how would I play them?

SE on a BB is useless, you should go for BoS instead imo.

PT, AR, EM, BoS, SI, FP and CE. Is what i went for.


You should play them mid to close range, they can really shine there. Just push up ( if you can ) and you'll do great.

My personal view is never run SE on a BB. The extra 3500 just isn't worth it for the 3 points it costs and would be better spent on mitigation instead. I would also suggest swapping PT for PM to help your AA turrets.

From what I remember they are very good at nose in tanking but you will get citadelled from the side easily.

This is what I don't get. Why run crap like SE, BFT or AFT? It's not hard to understand why those skills have almost no impact on a BB, unless it's the first tech tree you grind.

VERY easily. I basically blew a Pyoty Velikiy out of the water with one salvo from a Kongo. Russian BBs are extremely vulnerable to citadel hits (that's the "balance" to their high HP), they have very large citadels placed close to the sides of the ship, with more of the citadel above the waterline than most other BBs. They're great for head-on tanking but if you can pull alongside it will be at a distinct disadvantage.

Fire prevention recommended. SE is quite funny if you are running the Russian hockey captain (HOW MUCH HP???), but isnt really worth the points. Secondarys are ok, but again not really worth speccing into. Tank build ftw.

Wait, this is still a thing? I forgot about this. I already decided on PT, AR, EM, BFT, SI, AFT and FPE ( or FP, I dont remember if there is a equipment in that or not)
and I bascially got the bow tank thing down, at tier 5, and I did a broadside on another tier 5, and got 51K dmg in 1 salvo. at the same time, I was on a heavy angle, and a new mex hit me on the angle, and I still lost about 13K.

SE on battleships is for the memes: you get like anywhere from like a 2%-5% increase in HP, compared to the 6%-8% cruisers get, and the 10%-20% DDs get. you should only ever take SE on DDs or very certain CLs if your confident in your ability to not get citadeled.

As far as Russian BBs? Tank build, mainly to exploit your super limited but fast cooldown damage control party. My build is the one I use on Gangut/Oktober Revolution:
1: PM
3: EM
6: SI
10: FP
14: CE
17: BoS
19: HA

Now, you shouldn't blow through all your Damage Control Party's for every little fire you get set on you, but pretty much use it when you get x2 or more fires set on you, and heal off fire damage with Repair party. You're pretty much in a battle with fire RNG as far as playing Russian Battleships: sometimes you'll rarely be set on fire, other times you cook like a big ol' charcoal fish with every other little HE shell setting fire to you constantly. So make sure to bing yer' India Yankee anti-fire signals, november foxtrot consumables cooldown signals, and India Delta repair party signals when you start getting into tier VII-X where HE spam will more and more hard hitting.
