Unable to research ship..I have enough Ship XP..
I have 4266 Ship XP and i want to research a battle ship which is the next ship on from what i have which is the Danae IV, when i click on the Battleship is shows the research price is 3000 XP, i have 1266 more than that, yet it says below the research cost; 2373 required...why is it saying this?

Most likely there's an unresearched module on previous ship that is required.
Post screenshot of previous ship.

Hmm i researched all modules on that ship- however there was another higher tier unlocked to research in the Cruiser column and below the modules for 18k XP do i have to unlock that before i can unlock the battleship?

You got to research it from Caledon. If you look you can se the arrow from the Caledon ship to the first line in the English BS Belerophon.
Its the same if you want to go to the DD line. They all starts from cruisers, and then you go the line you want to research. Remember you need 3000XP on Caledon to get it. Or free XP

If you are in for the long run, dont use FREE XP at ALL, save it for the Missouri T9 BS you can only get it from free Xp and is one of the best and most fun ship in the game.
Totaly free, all you need is play the game.

Remember to look for the small arrows where you can go.
