So in Random Battles (PvP) we basically have 2 match makers. 1st one is regular, 2nd one is for new players only. You play in the new players match maker if you play tier IV ship and below, AND you have account level 11 and below. In this match maker, teams may be supplemented by AI ships for better queue time. Please mind if you by any chance will be the only player in the queue for more than 1 minute, you will be also put in regular match maker queue.
There are no AI ships in regular PvP match maker.
Good luck, and fair seas!
so you should not name this PvP (Player vs Player) if u fillin it with bots, its still co-op battles where u can get really small amount of reward playing, compare to normal random pvp battle, even u not got a medals and reward from gain it
No, it's not co-op, at least in WoWs terms, because all mechanics and economy rewards here are full Random Battles. Also, AI ships are not added to one team only, like in co-op - they are added to both teams to fill them up to desired level. Players still compete versus other players. This happens only if there are not enough new players in the queue. And the separate queue for the new players of course is needed to protect them from so-called seal clubbing and let them have comfortable start in the game.
Your point is still valid, but it's more about terminology. I agree that new players match maker is not pure PvP, but I hope I was able to explain why it works this way. Thanks for the dicussion and have fun!
Hey Phil, good luck answering questions in the steam forum.
I wouldn't complain about having bots in game and getting random battle rewards. Especially with some players being worse than them.^^
