This game is a waste of money
I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone even if they was paying the people to take it
This game is so buggy it isn't funny
I just logged on because for the 100th time in like three days it said my boat ran aground
It turns out this time the system sailed my boat across a 1 mile stretch of land to put me in a 50 mile long inlet with only 1 way out and the way out is to shallow to sail out....
That is just Bs
A week of sailing for nothing but piss poor programing that won't let you enjoy the game
And as for the programming of this game
All you did was animate some sail boats and add them to a sailing program that has been around since the early 2000s and you couldn't even get that right
Silent Hunter 3 started it
Ship Simulator Extreme
Deadliest Catch
Helicopter Search And Rescue
Ship Simulator Maritime Search And Rescue
They all use the same ocean, weather, sky, and movement program just updated as it went on
Difference that you did was adding the gps and real time of day which is no different then what microsoft's tracking system for Flight Simulator is
And yet with all that already out there you still couldn't get anything right
The thing that pisses me off the most is always being told I've run aground in what should be deep enough water
Ooo wait that's right you had some lame ass excuse for that one
Wasn't it something about some kind of deep charts or something along that line
There is no excuse
The deep charts for the world existed long before pc games where ever thought of
You where just to worried about getting the game out and making a dollar then where about making something people have paid even more for
You can't fix this game
Why would we want another one from you

The sea is like that because of real time weather (including waves). This is actually not a game but a simulation...

i did notice when i had the game off, it would change course if i had no wind to get some, and if your close to land, its quite possible it would set a course that could ground her.

I don't have problems with the sim. I like it and looking forward to a more sophisticated versions with more boats, lights and details. Until then - happy sailing with this version.

I have no issues with it either and love my time on the water each day

Thank you so much, @AngelOfDeath , you really made my day :-). It is not easy to write together such exquisite nonsense, but you managed perfectly well, thanks for that, once again.

May I humbly suggest you continue playing your other listed "simulators" then, and stop annoying us here? As you already saw on the preceding replies, people actually like the sim as it is. And for the record, I do like it as it is, as well.

Sailaway is quite obviously not for you. And since I claim being at least as sane as you are, I actually trust my own good experience with the sim, rather than your totally unquaified collection of thoughts. You may however program a better simulation of the oceans and sailing physics and give us a shout when you are ready. I will happily test it, but until then it might be better for you to just hold your breath.

I am extremely impressed with this simulator, despite of the few bugs. I enjoy it every single time I am sailing and racing in it in all parts of the world. It is very well made.
I also will buy two copies of it when it is released. I very much look forward to the the new sailaway simulator, bigger, better more enjoyable!
I will buy one copy for my fellow sailing family members and my local sailing/racing club and association.
LONG LIVE SAILAWAY SIMULATOR!
