Finishing the first challenge

Real new at sailing. Gained an interest after a friend took me RC Sailing. Question: how do I finish the first of the challenges. I cross the green line, do all the waypoints, cross the green line at the other end, my time stops but when I go back to start the next challenge I am told I need to complete the first one. If I "log out " my time is lost and I have to start again. Even tried dropping the anchor but to no avail. HELP

Its been letting me play six challenges but I haven't seen where my time is being compared to my old time or even that my old time is mentioned. You have to move the challenges into place and place them almost perfectly in the center of the screen before they become clickable.

Mike can you tell me how you got the challenges to end after you complete them? I have the same issue as you. Whats the secret that Storm Petrel gave you. can you post it here please

If you got the challenge, it appears in yor profile (statistics) as achieved. If you achieve 10 challengue they figure as 10 challengues achieved.

Same problem here. Can't finish challenges. Very frustrating first experience...

When you cross the finish line, seemingly the only way to end the challenge is to abort it. If I close Sailaway and restart it, I get an "End Challenge" button, though (not sure about the label, playing the game in German language). The challenge seems to count either way.
Having finally found the statistics tab, does anybody know what the figures next to the challenge names are about?

Hi Norbert, how exactly did you abort the challenge? I have the same issue, but when restarting, I get no new button to finish the challenge.

Hi Nick, without aborting the challange, I leave the game by simply closing it (Alt-F4). After restarting, the game will load the boat, this time with a new button in the challenge info window.

I do not see the challenges being checked in the challenge menu, though. They just appear in the stats section in your profile.

Has anyone truly figured this out yet? I don't think I should have to jump on one leg during a full moon to get the first challenge to accept my time. Can anyone help?

Okay, I don't have an answer as to why it doesn't give us a completion box but after I changed the graphics so it was better, I was able to see my stats under my profile. It was logging all the times I did the challenge trying to figure out what I did wrong. I'm moving on to the next challenge.
