Code 0?
why could use a code 0 with alot of wind because in real life if u put a code 0 in a storm your whole boat would break down...
so i think they need to limit the amout of force on the mast or something needs to break like your rope or something

At present, there is no damage model in the simulation.

Two boats could just sail through each other without a scratch :)

Maybe in the future we will have to be more careful .... but, right now, nothing breaks.
yeah iknow but they should really change that cause its not a real sailing match if u can go trough each other then there are no tactics nothing

Except for a couple of twits that I've seen online and Im not talking about those making genuine mistakes or just the rush of the mark etc ... most of the sailors on here try to do the right thing.

yup and just the normal sailing rules if u hit someone while you didnt have the rigths to go trough that one u have to turn a 360 in 2 miutes or something (Like in VSK5 where racing is very tactical and realistic) and it makes the game much more competitive like on which side do i want to go at the start so u can make other people turn so they lose time and stuff like that

but that doesnt care if the hit you and get a penalty and they dont turn 360 they get kicked out of the race and in freeroam maybe u can sail trough each other there but it should not be in race

there is no way to kick out someone from the race, you are thinking "Virtual Skipper" ( which I still play after 15 years.. ) This is not a player based server, this is a permanent multiplayer environment.

yeah true but you can still kick someone out the race and then he goes to 'freeroam' and still 'sails'in the race but when you're not racing you can just sail trough someone. so in the race collision and in freeroam not. i think that would be a good thing?

Until now noone can kick anyone out of a race...

iknow but they have to make a system with sailing rules that when you violate the rules you got to get automaticly kicked out of the race

you can wait a while, they have more urgent things to do for a small team... :) Do like me, keep on playing VSK5... ;)
