DPT is the depth, but as you zoom in on the map, you will see number indicators of depth. Keep clear of most below 4.
That can not be, dear Corsaire. Yesterday I tried a wonderful passage through the West Swedish archipelago with my Cat. I ran on ground at a depth of 4 meters on the map. At 2.6 in the wonderful Albrektssundkanal to Marstrand I did not go through it. I do not know a Cat with such a great draft. Maybe there were only a few stones, which have come there by the man-made climate change ;-) Or there is something the developers of the game still need to change to give us an even greater experience. It will certainly be on the to-do list. Is it not possible to make a sponsoring deal with Navionics or C-Map? Navionics provides all sea charts with depths, navigation aids and so on free of charge online :-)) - except Denmark :-((. For Denmark you can use the free online raster charts from NVPedia. :-)
These are two defferent matters, dear Phicarrae... and yes it is on the road map as you can see it !
Correct, dear Corsaire.
What do you thinking, what is the draft of the Cat?
In reality the draft of the Mini must not exceed 1.6 meters. But here in the game we do not know, because we have no depth reference. According to my feeling, the Rose has the greatest draft. But after my trip to the skerries, I believe it is the Cat. ;-) I always sail at flat points (under 3 meters on the map) only with the mainsail (by the way: the speed loss is too great, if you drop the headsail) an have a sharp look to the numbers on the depth sounder.
Best Regards.
I tend to sail out at sea where depth is not a problem... However I used several passes with the Rose in Southern Pacific islands where she happens to be wandering at the moment and never had a problem so far... But of course I used the spots with the best depth on the map and didn't look for trouble... :)
