You should have weaknesses for Shiva and Ramuh (Shiva is weak to fire, Ramuh is weak to earth, both are weak to dark), though none of the mirages that you can get at that point have any of Ifrit's weaknesses.
Despite that, all three of them do relatively the same damage (though be mindful of what are your mirage's weaknesses to the boss's element). Just using attack and the occasional healing should be enough though, and exploiting their weakness should help a bit.
I leveled to 7 now. I will try to use Jiant form. Thanks for the tips!
