How did you lose saves?

I just logged back in after I patched my video drivers and it said level one on my save file.

well thats not how save files work so something else changed. a driver isnt going to touch completely random files.

Yah, I know that man. I just felt that it waas odd, updated my drivers and BAM i'm a level one character again.

Um... did you load the save?
I mean, if character is level 1 it's not that critical if all other progress is untouched.

...Maybe the problem is in Cloud Saving?
Like, you turned it off after it was synchronized, and then played without cloud saving, and then turned it on for it to be synchronized to your old save?

No idea. I'm going to put the game down for now. After the video bug, I'm really discuraged to buy another FF game

I don't know what Square Enix is doing, no cloudsaving in 2017/18 ? Come on

I have the exact same problem--and I too just updated my graphics card drivers. And it's super annoying, because I was just about to get back into this game after a long break, and now I apparently have to start over from scratch...Argh!

I initially couldn't start the game because I was getting a directx 11 error (which was mostly gobbledygook). So I updated my Nvida drivers, hoping that would help. It did, but now I've lost my save. Quite annoying.

Almostr ditto. Was updating video drivers when computer crashed. After reboot the save files were gone. Was in the desert region about lvl 35ish? Too long to start over.

check the save game folder in your Documents\My Games\Woff to see if the file is still there.

Now i am also scared whenever i am going to get it and play it.

So did you use cloud save or not? There is like 3 people in here it happened too, and can't find much else about it.

That's the problem with this game, no cloud save..

I just had exactly the same thing happen. I updated my video drivers (because of a totally different game) and BAM. No save files. No option except to begin a new game.

This really ticks me off. I don't want to redo the ENTIRE game... especially when there's no reason to believe this same thing won't happen a second time!

Way to lose future customers, there. :(
