"No Save Data"

When I click of the play button the game starts but just loads a screen with 2 blue panels with No Save Data on them..

that's cuz you have no save data? play the game till the point you can save then it'll be gone for good

I have the same problem.
When running the game, it says "no save data", which is correct as I couldn't start it yet. After pressing "enter" it tries to load again, and it shows the "No save data" box again, + underneath it a small box with "An error has occured".
Also, when running the settings executable file and trying to save that, I get an error saying "save error setting file" or something like that.
I have an up-to-date windows 10 system (latest public release) and already tried running the files as "administrator", doesn't help. It is an actual problem.

This is usually caused by permission problems, so you migh want to go and delete (or rename) the WOFF folder that is in Documents/My Games.

Most of the time, it is caused when something went wrong when creating the folder, not giving the right permissions to it, preventing the game from writing in it.

I am not saying it will fix it at 100% probability, but since you have not started playing anyway, there is no save file to lose and it only takes a few minutes at most.

i can't be 100% sure, but i had trouble initially as well until i figured it was my DS4 controller problem.

try playing it via big picture mode on steam?

I have the problem of that i originally played on another device, until i came to this current device, copying and pasting my "savedata" over into the the new "id" just spurts out "no save data" and makes me start over...which i'm annoyed at because i had at least 5 hours in my other save.

Why are save games not transferrable? It's a simple .sav file it should just work, ugh. Even tried to trick it into loading it but it still won't work. Hoping to find a solution.

You should have copied the whole "id" folder too I think.

As for iceiceice, I'm sorry to say that I don't know any other way, outside of maybe contacting the support from the devs.
But since you don't have the mouse icon, you might have refunded the game already, so it's not helpful.
