You don't miss anything by not chosing either, the are just there for flavour.
Do you have any examples of dialogue from Chosen One and Ranger? I prefer the appearance of both outfits and I am admittedly trying to get immersed into a specific character, so if the in combat dialogue is too off I'd have to reload, but it might fit better which is why I'm asking for any examples you recall.
Like if with ranger my character who's meant to be in their early 20's starts saying "I'm too old for this ♥♥♥♥." or something it would break my immersion a lot.
