Skills and stats all carry over albeit, some of the perks were revised from atom 1 so you may see some stat differences. My Atom 1 game is heavily modded too just from steam workshop mods, so that probably played a difference. But I do remember some perks were revised regardless.
As far as xp and level, if you're above 15 it'll keep whatever level you were, if you were below 15, it'll level you to 15 after you load in the game.
If companions died in the base game, i dont believe it'll remember that here but i've never lost companions from atom 1 and then carried the file over. You have options at the beginning of trudograd to say that hexogen and fidel died. But without spoiling Fidel's fate, I'll just say they mention him in trudograd near the end through a specific dialogue tree. I would assume if hexogen died in atom 1, that would carry over regardless. But you can still delete him if you tell the narrator he died etc.
There aren't too many companions in trudograd. You can only have 2. Hexogen and either The Lt. or Blaze. No animal companions unfortunately and Dzhulbars doesn't show up other than in that photo.
If you're still here, then i'll just say i did a guide on how to make unlimited money and get the power armour within the first 30 minutes the game. It'll make your life a whole lot easier. The TLDR of the guide is essentially, level pickpocket to 250 and take the "slap on the wrist perk" and you can steal all the rubles you'll ever need. I play trudograd with ironman mode and beaten this at least 4 times, so i'm pretty confidant in my advice .

I was around level 30 at the end so at least the stats / skills / abilities will help me from the start :)
I assume Hexogen has some default stats and level - rather than whatever level I got him to in the base game?
This is me going off experience of my character levels. I've never had a character at level 30 from Atom 1. I've just always beaten it earlier. So I'm curious if Hex will be 30 or whatever level he was in your playthrough but theres a high chance I think he defaults to 15 or 16.
You can still change your initial perks and skills even though you're such a high level when you load the atom 1 save. You may want to give the pickpocket strategy a try on your first playthrough but i completely understand wanting to keep your character as it was from atom 1 for roleplay purposes.
Regarding Hexogen - I’ll let you know here when I get to it (later this year when it arrives on mobile) but if the game transfers next to nothing, it probably won’t transfer Hexogens skills or level. Which is a bit of a shame but it’s understandable.
Level 30 I only achieved in the last location of the game - one of the endings got me from lvl 26 to lvl 30.
For sure. There's a mod on workshop to play after the ending as well, so lvl 30 is easily obtainable. Yeah let me know i'm curious.
But I didn’t bother to grind, not much reason to do that.
Only thing I missed was Operation February which I didn’t manage to enable in the mobile version.
