About crafting recipes
Can someone please assure me that there is a way in game to find how to craft all craftables in the game.

I have no problem scouring every inch of every map looking for recipes, as long as the search is not futile.

I have a serious pet peeve when it comes to playing rpg games blind. It is 2019....I do not have 1000 hours to spend figuring out what random combination of worthless items go together to make a certain gun. But I do have a hundred or two hours I will spend finding a way in game to make that item, if only it is to be found.

I hate games that force me to a guide. Im 10 hours in and want desperately to feel like my efforts will not come down to hours of randomly trying to craft ♥♥♥♥.

idk how much of a spoiler it is, but searching the map is not exactly how you get all the blueprints. If you want a mild spoiler to kickstart you along the way - I can do that.

Thanks for the fast reply....a crumb to send me on my way would not be turned down. Reading some things on the net had me worried that rafting was mostly a matter of luck :'(

most of them can randomly be found on caravans. What you need to do to accelerate the process a lot is invest 10000R into one old mans project in KRZ and do book burner quest for the book store owner in the same KRZ. Pretty sure a woman who just like you goes blind in one of the major locations can spawn some of them as well. Oh, and starting recipes depend on your Int

On the crafting itself:
Overall, you won't actually need crafting by the time you get all of them most likely

Inspiring. Thank you kindly.

I doubt you'll find all recipes you can find in guides or wikis. I paid the old man book, and quoted nothing despite now I'm on last line before to finish the game.

In my opinion there's quite a design problem here but it works for most players, with guides and scamloading.

Myself I would prefer be able find more easily the recipes, and just have a requirement for each, not some random allowing scamloading. With current system I'll never ever bother with the abilities and skill related to crafting, nor will ever try a craft play.

They need to rework how you get recipies and how soon you can craft them.
SOoooooo....make some way of geting the recipies in Red fighter.....so you can use the home base to get them
The crafting recipes are not accesible, you can do all quests and finish the game without finding them. I goooooooooot so tired of searching for them.
If you want to spoil yourself and buy a few of the crafted top tier and best gun from it's category just watch this video:)

Save scumming seems to be the theme of this game. I refuse to ever use such tactics but in some instances it almost seems needed in this game. Unfortunate.

it is not mandatory for sure. Some things are easier with it, but that's all. There is only 1 instance where I would recommend save-scumming to preserve your sanity.

What instance? the golden Fish? It is no way a requirement. At first play skipped, at replay for now ignored it and will probably not bother endure the boredom. At second replay I picked it, probably get lucky but it still look total boredom and I doubt I'll ever bother with that again.

In my opinion you can play without any savescuming at all, just ignore entirely crafting, pick lock is only try scuming and you won't avoid it, the golden fish is no way a requirement.

Play it permadeath would be a totally different matter, with companions I have doubts, perhaps solo with a iron solid build plan and a great pre knowledge of the game.

I won't discuss it here as the guy clearly didn't want spoilers.

Well the sane approach would be to automatically give access to recipes as u up yr crafting skill for ex custom revolver&scoped rifle&double barell at 50; perc revolver&magazined riffle&triple barrel at 70 and advanced perc revolver&sniper rifle&4xbarrel at 90...
Also some benefits should be given to the resulting weapons based on the crafting level smth small along the lines of extra accuracy/crit say 1% for every 20points... which would end up like +10% to hit/crit on smb that maxes out hes crafting skill--> at least this gives u a reason to legitly invest in crafting and not just save scum the entire affair...

Some players really like the openness that can open scamloading, in Antharion (I enjoyed play twice in a row, didn't finished the third play), the dev made it an option, a random system allowing scamloading, and a fixed system added to the game later. But it was for lockpick.
