Does it matter if you kill random traders?

Just wondering if there's any impact if you kill random caravans or junk dealers.
Does it impact the game at all? Can you run out of random traders?

I haven't done it myself but heard after one or few kills will cause extremely strong hunters to ambush you. You either pay them 10k or something or fight and probably die.

Not with scavengers but only if it's caravans I think.

But do the attacks keep happening? Does it affect you finding other random caravans or trading with them?

Since nobody seem to have answered for a long time so guess I will just say that I'm pretty sure it's one time only. And no I think you still find caravans normally.
