There are currently no modifiers active and I have checked my gear. Nothing should be affecting it. This is odd. There are no status effects on my character screen.
I had something like this too once. I got a strength penalty and there were no indicators. I stayed at the inn at KNZ, and it mysteriously went away. Until now I still haven't figured out what caused it. I just assumed it was caused by fatigue and my character was sleep-deprived.
I passed the playground fight with a STR check because I really wanted the Detective to live. Instead of satisfaction, I was really disappointed by how anticlimatic it was. orz
Dude. I beat the game on Level 22 and even I had difficulty with the fights.
With that said, I wasn't really going for a combat-build and I hadn't really been grinding.
Preparation is key here. give your companion grenade and invest in throwing weapon (grenade is a good crowd control because of area damage and stun chance for 2 full round and heavy crossbow with metal arrows can one hit kill almost every enemy) Use automatic weapon, i prefer RPK for it's accuracy and low AP cost and as in InEffect's guide you should have 10 dexterity for 10 AP and with RPK you get 2 time short burst and combined with AP ammo it's 2 enemy down in one turn.
