looking for tips on getting the fish connected to the wish master achive

You need to catch a golden fish. If you value your sanity you should do it at luck 11 and use weird doll or spider brains as a bait. The location should not matter, but I always fish in Otradnoye.

does any other stat help / matter like dex

not that I'm aware of, but I always have 10 Dex. so I wouldn't know.

I actually lucked out, pardon the pun, one one character, a cursed sniper with a luck of 1 and caught the Golden Fish on my VERY FIRST CAST!! Unfortunately I ended up almost immediately re-rolling the character and my new cursed sniper (luck 1) took maybe 5 minutes to catch it so it does not seem too hard.

Especially as this character is NOT lucky, my gun CONSTANTLY jam, its really annoying, lol.

It's impossible to get this fish without reloading the save for at least an hour. Beware what you read on the internet new players.

It's called RNG, You can get it in first try or 10th try or 1000th try it's just RNG. I got on 5th time save scumming with luck 11. you just trolling constantly. Luck 11 just helped for better chance not absolute 100% success. Same with lockpick

Yeah, I also got the fish with one luck and no alcohol, on first try. One can say anything on the internet. Who is the troll the new players will know, and they will remember our face for future question. Credibility will be destroyed by trolls.

@LArc7thHeaven : do you sleep better at night if more players can trust you and waste hours of their life on stupid achievement such as this gold fish? A lot of players already said need to waste a few hours to get this fish, why you morons like to keep saying it take only one or five tries? Why? Do you need to see doctors? What are you guys trying to do here? I'd seen a lot of veteran players lying to new players just for the sake of it, because they feel good about tricking people. Are you guys physiologically damaged when you were young?

No, because you're like implying that catching goldfish is like next to impossible but actually it's doable just some RNG with 11 luck. And lots of people want the extra stat bonus since the vanilla game don't give lots of stat bonus

I'm not implying, I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ saying it out loud, it near impossible without a few hours wasted. You are the who kept implying that everyone can get it on the first 5 attempts like you did (only your god knows whether you actually did or not). It's funny that you kept bringing up the term "RNG". I can totally overlook the implied insult like I don't know what a randomly generated number usually based on the system time as the seed of the number to compare the pseudo-random generated number to a fixed number to calculate the chance of a boolean trigger in game is, but when I quote the numbers posted by WhatIsSol, the modder who made the Neutron mod, which shows that it takes 300 to 600 attempts on average to get the fish with 11 luck, you pretend that you didn't see it?

It's RNG, what's there to understand? Depending on how fast your game is loading it takes anywhere from 20 to 60m on average. The thing was made as a joke for the most part. You have no obligation to do it.
