Crafting Recipes Don't Work?

I've been trying to follow the crafting recipes noted in the guide, and it seems that half the recipes don't even work. No Samopal, no Self-made Rifle, etc.

What gives? Did the recipes change with the updates? Is there an updated list of recipes?

There's no crafting succeeded/failed message, the message that appears is about missing/wrong items.

Also, I checked it after maxing my tinker skill, still the same problem.

If you want to craft unknown recipes from a guide you need to select "Experiment" as crafting recipe. If something else is selected it doesn't work.

Did that too. Didn't work.

EDIT: Great, now it works. Because ropes/wires doesn't mean ropes *or* wires, it means one of them specifically, and using the other doesn't work.

Wait, heavy crossbow still doesn't work, even after I checked with both ropes and wires.

I even bought the Kogan the Savage book item corresponding to the heavy crossbow, and even after following the recipe there, it didn't work. What gives?

To make first broken bottle, i need to put one brick and at few bottles. otherwise I receive the missing item message.
