This if you want know where to get a new gas mask you have to be lucky with caravans the funny thing about that is if you get a new gas mask then antidotes are kinda obsolete

also you need to get water and a lot of it, although it's a pain to carry around it's free; you can get it from the village and Red fighter, buuuut now there are also some foods that annihilate the poison
i don't know if the enviroment hurts the companions - i only know that the drugs tend to give them temporary stats negatives

no they don't ...they just become a nice, easy to carry commodity, just like the rad-x and all the other stuff that can be shoved in your dog's "backpack" waiting patiently for the right trade

use punctuation my friend :))) anyway, i know you know... but some people, that are new to the game, don't know all the bits and peices, reading they might get a clue about what to do, whta's lucrative and what's just a running around one's tail ...
after the new update maybe we'll get a word from the devs which quests are solid (will only have minor tweaks, but won't change the main things) and which areas are finnished (again loot/npc's/quests might be added for extra immersion, but it's good to know when a area is done )
right now i don't know if the bunker will remain like this or it's gonna be a secondary base/returning location for later plots .....right now apart from some minor loot and the decoder this area becomes empty

You can also:
1. Kill a stalker for old gas mask
2. Eat condensed milk to bring Endurance to 11 (=more resist)
3. Keep eating antidotes

It took me about 8 antidotes to clear the Death Tunnel bunker. Companions are unaffected.

You can also repair the thing there to clear the air.

But really the poison area loot is meh, and the only quest thing you need in the bunkers isn't in it. It's at the end of radiation tunnel, which you can simply walk into (the wall there is misleading, you can walk around it without going into poison). Take two Rad-X and shoot Morloks till dead. They're rather easy to kill and bring tons of XP.

The same tactic works for the 1c22 decoder bunker, and really all sources of poison. Death Tunnel one is just the largest poison bunker AFAIK

although in the Death tunnel you also need RAD-X to run around the radiated parts, and i noticed a couple of points where if you sit and don't move you'll die from radiation even if you took 2 pills. the gas mask found on the dead corpse isn't very effective - you can steal the one Pasha has (Red Fighter mechanic)
