how are crits calculated?
do the enemy has some kind of % chance to lower crit? ive been trying the increased crit build, from my weapon + skill + luck i should have 68%+ crit chance, but its not critting that often, just curious why that is

present your calculations. lets try and figure it out.

+50% aimed shot crit chance skill, 10% crit chance on this scoped gun, 5% chance from luck so 65% crit chance

i just read the skill closer, +50% chance from the current critical hit chance, does that mean its adding 50% frmo 15%? meaning aroudn 21%? or even worse 50% from my base chance (5) so aroudn 7.25%?
Shy asian guy Jan 18, 2019 @ 6:45am
so i just took 123 shots and 40 with critical, which is 32.5% crit chance, so im not understanding how crit chance is caluclated or what my actual crit chance is now, any ideas? do i get a bonus for aimed shot not including skills i have?
Kosiciel Jan 18, 2019 @ 7:25am
If you aim for the head or eyes, you get increased critical chance (~20-25%).

I fear that this is how it works and devs just ignoring our questions to confirm it. And that means if you not going to take complete rifle ability line this particular ability not worth 3 ability points to waste unless your luck is 11 so you get 12% + 6%. Me thinks that everyone who dreamed, me including, that this skill adds 50% AFTER all otlher bonuses are summed up were VERY optimistic :) because compared to other abilities that would be so OP heh

it makes sense, 50% flat increase would be too strong imo, just trying to figure out exactly what the crit % is though is what i would like to know

Been testing this quite a bit and thou the % i get from firing 100 shots isnt entirely accurate, it is in the ball park for what I consider valid assumptions.

Tested with the following stats: 2% from luck, 10% from Weapon, with the 50% perk, making the base value 18% when aiming, 12% when not.

Non-aimed shots
These can hit the eyes and head, so hard to get solid data on them, experienced a 19% crit rate which is 7% higher than it should have been, I write this off to RNG on heads and eyes.

Aimed shots
Torso generated 20% crit results, pretty close to the expected 18%
Legs and arms generated 24% and 26% respectively, I suspect a +5% chance to crit.
Head generated 43% crit results, a good mark over the suspected 38%, but within reason.
Eyes generated a whooping 62% crit results, well over the average 43% suspected.

So yeah, go for the eyes ^^
Shy asian guy Jan 18, 2019 @ 9:32am
62%?? how!? i just did another test of 151 shots, all aiming for eyes, and only 50 were crits, only 33%

so my first test was 40/123 for aroudn 32.5% crit, this was a mix of eyes head legs hand, 2nd test 33% with only eye shots, how on earth are you getting 62%, can any devs clarify this?
Mr. Nobody Jan 18, 2019 @ 9:49am
My guess is I got lucky, and had more crits than i should have, as stated it should be closer to 43%.

One thing to consider is Rifle skill level, I am sitting at 140 skill, maybe that ups the crit chance....

my fifle skill is 199 with attention at 10.

still stuck aroudn 32% not sure why or how this number seems to be where im at always
Mr. Nobody Jan 18, 2019 @ 10:17am
well that is pretty weird yeah, by all accounts you should crit more often than me if it had an effect

I only did 100 of each shot and left it at that, maybe i just got super "lucky" and thus have "wrong" numbers...
InEffect Jan 18, 2019 @ 12:36pm
it's not +50% crit chance. it's your critchance *1.5 all your errors in calculations stem from there. cheers.
