There is a car in the game, though it isn't obvious and involves a lot of murder, unless you find a workaround...
The thing is that you are supposed to explore the map but it should not be easy, with the car the game changes a lot and you can even do individual quests
The movement speed is ok, they just need to add more survival elements and more random encounter types
Exactly. I wouldn't mind a small boost to jog speed either.
There wasn't nearly as much backtracking in those games. F1 you pretty much progressed south.
It was a lot easier to get the highwayman in F2 than the car here.
No murder involved.
No level gating for help with your slaughter.
It isn't in an out of the way place.
It's almost like they didn't want you to wander the wastes so slowly for so much of the game?!
The fallout games definitley were not as awkward and clunky as the travel speeds are here. The random encounters in this game are a bit of a bummer as well, I remember encountering low level enemies in Fallout and being able to some experience points and items for bartering. I have only encountered weak insects and tough raiders for the most part in Atom
I just use Cheat Engine to change the game speed. Might tax your processor though, so keep an eye on the temps.
There's a lot of backtracking in the game, I personally don't like the idea of wasting time going back and forth for nothing. QOL changes in-game would be very appreciated by most.
Like in Total War-games, pressing space should speed up the walking on the strategic map :)
