Shooting body parts ?
this obviously either doesnt work or never was meant to

shoot the eyes - nothing ,they still hit from miles away
shoot the feet - nothing, they still run forever
shoot the arms - again nothing

is it broken ? or just not finished

same goes for guns jamming, they are not set to any kind of percentage,i think they are set to encounters, because 8 consequtive jams from 4 shooters is not a percentage,or even a dice roll.

attack a weak group the guns dont jam, attack a strong group and all my shooters jam 3 or 4 times in a row, this needs fixing.

It just gives you a higher crit chance, doesn't cripple them.

Crit's are really good BTW, a shot that norrmally does up to 35 damage can do 150.

not if the guns are made to jam right when you need them ;)

wasted so much ammo on aimed shots thinking they would cripple, all the functions are on screen, but they dont do anything.

whats the point of showing body parts if they are not implemented ?

Are you using the latest version of the game? Eye shots have a very high chance not only to crit, but also to cripple, lowering enemy aim significantly. Head shots cause stun, arm shots cause weapon loss, etc. Also, higher crit %. On jamming: what kind of a gun is being used? Custom made low tier craft guns and rusty weapons are prone to jamming, but most weapons do not do that.

Yeah, cripple status should do something, similar to this:

Head crippled, Lost turn for x turns, similar to knocked down. Confused because of head trauma.

Eyes crippled, reduced chance to hit (Obviously, eyes damaged)

Legs crippled, increased AP for walking (double AP or such?)

Hands crippled, weapons in hands dropped to ground / cannot use 2 handed weapons, or something like this.

96 hours and thats how i thought it worked.

We'll look into it. Can you send us the crash log if it crashes on you? It's the output_log file in the Atom directory. support@atomrpg.com

When did these changes came to game? I have patch 065 (latest, no changelog yet released), and killed around 50 enemies just today, but all I see is red text, and their next attack always hit me (enemy used firearms such as pistol and rifles, and from longer distance)

Well the crippling always was there, but we made the percentage higher around a week ago in 1.05. We will look into it.

it didnt get a chance to log,as it froze.

but i did confirm what caused the freeze.

without spoiling...

theres an inn
and a girl held hostage in a room by 1 guy and his body guard with 196 hit points.
the janitor after dialogue or fight with hostage taker will appear and stand next to the door.
one of my crew was standing on the spot the janitor was meant to walk to.

and the game froze all input.

it does work as long as that spots clear for the janitor to step onto.

as for crippling,it sure looks like everything is there to work that angle, but not switched on.
i can email the save just before the freeze if that helps, all you need to do is kill the two and stand someone on the janitors spot.

emailed log and save

Thank you. Problem understood, will fix soon. On crippling though - very strange. Just ran the game - everybody goes blind and falls over after aimed hits. We'll try upping the percentage even more for you.

I have the impression, too, that crippling body parts does mostly nothing

As "black belt" unarmed fighter I have (too soon) 99% for any part: Eyes, head etc.
Of course I hit and can read in red letters things like "I'm blind" or "I can't move my arm" or the like. Nevertheless, next turn they happily start shooting, stabbing, beating AND hitting again.

In all the fights until now (level 5) I saw ONE SINGLE time a weapon drop due to a hit in the arm. Occasionally they drop to the ground, but that's the exception.
I've never seen someone who was hit into the eyes to do nothing during the next turn.

IMO the "99%" are either misleading or ways too early available. I'm aware about "realism-discussions" for games like this, but nevertheless: IF someone got hit into the eyes there should be consequences. As it is right now, it's more frustration than anything else.

That should be described in a tooltip and the tooltip should display the chance to inflict more damage and to apply a status effect, too.

Yeah, the chance to apply a status effect should be higher and the to-hit penalty should be higher, too, but some status effects are currently too strong, because is in most cases dead if he is stunned for two or more turns.

But it's not "too strong" that he keeps shooting me in the head although he is blinded, has a broken arm and is missing his jaw?
