Crit's are really good BTW, a shot that norrmally does up to 35 damage can do 150.
not if the guns are made to jam right when you need them ;)
wasted so much ammo on aimed shots thinking they would cripple, all the functions are on screen, but they dont do anything.
whats the point of showing body parts if they are not implemented ?
cant check right now,games frozen.
all credit due though,96 hours and this is the first crash/freeze.
was after a battle i had to save scum to win,but i dont think i was supposed o win by gun,i think i was suppoed to win by dialogue,so i am sat here praying it starts up again.
one of my men is stood where the npc is supposed to move to,and nobodys moving,no butons are responsive.
96 hours and thats how i thought it worked.
Well the crippling always was there, but we made the percentage higher around a week ago in 1.05. We will look into it.
it didnt get a chance to log,as it froze.
but i did confirm what caused the freeze.
without spoiling...
theres an inn
and a girl held hostage in a room by 1 guy and his body guard with 196 hit points.
the janitor after dialogue or fight with hostage taker will appear and stand next to the door.
one of my crew was standing on the spot the janitor was meant to walk to.
and the game froze all input.
it does work as long as that spots clear for the janitor to step onto.
as for crippling,it sure looks like everything is there to work that angle, but not switched on.
i can email the save just before the freeze if that helps, all you need to do is kill the two and stand someone on the janitors spot.
emailed log and save
I have the impression, too, that crippling body parts does mostly nothing
As "black belt" unarmed fighter I have (too soon) 99% for any part: Eyes, head etc.
Of course I hit and can read in red letters things like "I'm blind" or "I can't move my arm" or the like. Nevertheless, next turn they happily start shooting, stabbing, beating AND hitting again.
In all the fights until now (level 5) I saw ONE SINGLE time a weapon drop due to a hit in the arm. Occasionally they drop to the ground, but that's the exception.
I've never seen someone who was hit into the eyes to do nothing during the next turn.
IMO the "99%" are either misleading or ways too early available. I'm aware about "realism-discussions" for games like this, but nevertheless: IF someone got hit into the eyes there should be consequences. As it is right now, it's more frustration than anything else.
That should be described in a tooltip and the tooltip should display the chance to inflict more damage and to apply a status effect, too.
Yeah, the chance to apply a status effect should be higher and the to-hit penalty should be higher, too, but some status effects are currently too strong, because is in most cases dead if he is stunned for two or more turns.
