Is there a way to increase luck from 6 to 11? I know alcohol will increase it but I can only increase my luck by 2 with alcohol. I already did the shrine/idol and I have the clown nose.

If you use different types of Alcohol you can get bonusesfrom each of them, up to a +6. Bware alcoholism.

I hear people getting the fish after two tries. After one try my drunk effect dissipates so i have to reload, i am going on from hours!

I created a test char with 11 luck and three dolls, the golden fish are always caught no more than a minute with the help of saveload

3 hours i spent trying to catch that fish

gave up,an no matter how many times i replay this i will never try catching that thing again,you waste so many stat points trying to get 1 stat boost it makes no sense to try.

You can have -3 luck an still get luck 10 with buffs. you don't have to spend a single stat into luck for the fish outside of survival.

night, morning, full moon - doesn't matter. spooder brains or crafted bait+high luck+patience. takes about 15-20 minutes on average.

I fished it for the achievement with my max luck playthrough. Took me about 10-15 minutes to save/load and spamming 1. I guess I was lucky. Not really worth it if it takes longer. 1 main stat does not change the overall experience much.

Given there is more than one bonus stat - it's all about critical mass. Fish is not that hard to get, and is in line with other quests for similar benefits in terms of time consumption, unless you do not save-scum.

I just did that too, it seems if you have 10 or 11 luck you can get it a lot faster. It takes about 5-30 minutes of trying but geting to that actual state might take longer. I guess since it's relativly easy to get the fish with quick save or quick load you can get the fish in about 2 hours after starting the game

Maybe the devs should change the golden fish to spawn ONLY after you catch 100 fish.....so at least it's a sure thing and it's harder to get because this feels a little like cheating. I have -2 luck and 1 luck because of the cursed sniper and it still was too easy to get the fish:)
