how do you reload the chainsaw?

It says use gasoline out of combat. I try and it just tells me there is no ammo,

The gasoline has to be in a bottle! Is yours in a bottle? :)

Until now I've only encountered gasoline in a bottle. Does it come any other way? Looks like orange juice right? Then I also have diesel. Its probably something stupid simple that I cant figure out

Guess, did you try equip both a gas bottle and the chainsaw?

You drag the gasoline onto the weapon, should refill it.

The quest starts from the commissar in front of the Lenin statue in Kras.

So someone answered this long after I completed the game. Its completely unintuitive and never did figure out how to reload it. The above post might help, but yeah, reloading the chainsaw was not designed well.

Sorry I don't have a direct answer but I've long since completed the game and uninstalled it.

This choice was like to add a small trick but it's questionable, it should better have been a classic reload like for all weapons. When looking at stats, it seems no way OP, and it doesn't justify require some forced ammo limit.
