Dog and Lost Bookpile (solved)

Hey there, firts of all, awesome game! I love it! But I’ve gat two problems since 1.0. First, the dog event won’t appear, do i need some kind if base level? Like 60 survival or something like this? In 0.9 i never had this issue.
Second: I lost the pile of book, from the bookshop quest, to kill these book burning redneks. I put it in the thrash behind Fidels bar, because i was to weak to fight them and since the only attack you, while carrying this pile of books, i put it in Depot (dit the same thing in 0.9) but now there is just some random junk in there, a pile of papers and a tire, something like that. What shall i do?
Is there something like a console code or what ever, to regain it? And yeah, whats with the dog? I really want it, even got all the armor ^^ please help :)

Ok nevermind, the dog encounter just happened. I leveld and raised my survival (30*-44)
*or something like that.

But still the bookpile... :/

You need to be careful of containers as many respawn their contents. With the bookpile I just dropped them on the ground after entering some location with a single car. So.far so good, still there after a few days.
I think yours may be lost for good.
From what I've read around here console commands don't work anymore. I don't know of another way to get the bookpile back.

Console commands definitely work, you can get it back that way.

I always use the little underground bunker in the first village for storage.

Ah cool thanks, as for the bunker: i usually do so, too, but i had no chance of getting there, so i used the closest storage. Or I use the first box in the plane, because it’s such an awesome location and can’t be seen enough ^^ at least in 0.9 all my stuff was safe there-including the book pile :)

And as for the rest: thank you very much, the console code worked. Found a list via google and could replace it easily. Now i can finally get rid of this quest :D
