Quest Bug BBQ Shack in Peregon *spoilers*

During the quest to check the BBQ shack/container in Peregon I told the fellows the lines for the quests, which makes them get up and leave. However when they did the cook never left and evenntually phased out of existance, but he was still considered at the shop so I couldn't interact with the door. I left the area and came back to see if it would work but the cook and his friends just reappered and I think the quest is stuck now because I cannot ask them to leave again. I also don't have a backup save before this part because I did this quest in BETA and knew what I needed to do and I was not anticipating this bug.

Is there any way to get them to leave the area a second time or another way to get in silently?

that quest had weird issues during EA because of that i save before telling them to leave. Use your closest auto save. Probably use your Peregon entrance auto save.

Another way to do it is ; tell guard captain about it. Not a good ending but closes the quest if you dont wanna restart for this one.

I’m stuck because I decided to use a previous save to instead just kill the guys of the bbq joint before they catch you in their bunker and now everyone wants to kill me in peregon . I’d have to go back a really long time to change all of this so my question is do I really have to kill everyone in town ? I was able to kill all the guards in the front guarding the entrance but like I said as soon as I enter everyone else there gets hostile .. god idk wtf do . Does peregon have anything there that will make it worth going back 5 days ?

To answer your last question, Peregon like the rest of the major settlements is of course a quest hub. Obviously quests (and xp) are a major part of the game. Not sure why you didn't just try to win the ambush fight; it's not particularly hard. And of course if you attack or anger initially non-hostiles in an area, you will turn everyone against you. You didn't report back what you decided to do, but hopefully you went back to an earlier save. I didn't understand the "5 days" part, though. That encounter is like the 2nd thing happening when you enter the city; I did it asap and had to reload the ambush fight only 1x to change weapons/tactics, once I knew what was happening. The auto-save of descending the ladder means I wasted hardly any time.

The Peregon caravans are the best place in the game to sell loot and farm equipment.

I did end up reloading a previous save and having to go back 5 real life days is what I meant because I continued to play after I had screwed this up (I couldn’t find a more recent save sadly )but it was definitely worth it. Sucks that even when you’re killing the bad guys everyone still gets hostile and wants to kill you lol.. doesn’t make a whole lot of sense but it is what it is. Thanks for the reply’s
