Aimed attacks seem to do nothing.
I've attempted aimed head and eye attacks at least 100 times. I can't tell that they do anything apart from decreasing your hit chances.

@atomRPGmod Thank you for looking into changing it. I also was pretty let down by them in the current system even while running a max luck / max melee weapons character that did nothing but aimed shots. So hopefully the new system makes them more worth it.

This is the way we do things :) We are not leaving Atom until everything is to the players' liking.

Hopefully, this is a promise, and not an empty word. I cheer for you to continue on working on this game, as it has a huge potential to keep expanding and be polished enough to get more daylight.

Only on crits, which to be honest, seems better to fire a bodyshot twice a turn (if you can) than shooting one, precise shot.

quite strange, why game is "released" with such issues.
No one is immune from mistakes. But we fix that quickly.

Yes, but this one should be very obvious in QA/play-testing...........nevertheless it seems true that you
continue to work very hard and sincerely to "fix that quickly" which is WAY different from most devs so, again, I will be quick to applaud you and thank you for something that shouldn't require applause: doing the right thing by your customers.

Except that on atleast one scoped riffle aiming doesn´t cost extra AP.

I love it when people complain as much as they do "This bug is so obvious" well of course it is... to you. I've been writing code for... ahem an insane long time... QA and software support so... yeah. Bugs get through even in big companies.

As a developer when I get a bug fix request I go "Wow, how the heck did I miss that one", In QA its "How the heck did we miss that one?" and in support it's "Wow, how the heck did they miss that one." ... oh and from the customer side it's "This software is ****! I demand this being fixed NOW!" [insert long tirade]. Best part of complaints is the less amount of money spent to more verbose and colorful the comments get. Nothing to be done except appligize and move along.

I love the attentiveness from the developers here. I enjoy the game bugs and all. Best game I've played since Wasteland 2.

After some more time with game and a lot more fights, where I been focusing on aimed eye shoots. More than often you don't do more damage scoring hits on that, than just a standard shoot on the body. That doesn't make sense.

If it's a weapon that has same cost for aimed shot as a single shot, there is no reason not to use it, as a crit on head can instakill, but other than that it's pretty useless, and I feel bad for actually picking that trait increasing aimed hit chance for exchange for simple hit chance...

How are the aimed shots after the update? didnt have a chance to test it

I'm curious too. the patch notes didn't list any details on that yet. I imagine it's a bit soon for a full breakdown by the user base, But just wondering if anyones noticed anything?

For me i didnt really notice any difference. Crits in the head or the body kill with one shot but the default damage somehow is not good.
I have 150 in rifle and autmatic weapon skills and iam using the Remington 700M and RPD/RPK-74. Also i have skilled the sniper/rifles tree and still the automatic weapons are way stronger.

In my opinion the rifles should do more damage with aimed shot even if they dont crit.

Good points....i have noticed that the aimed sniper shots tend to do very little damage to armored enemies.
Even if you go for the eyes the damage is still bad because enemies tend to have high hp. I would love to know the exact formula for damage calculation
On the other hand, the remington feels very weak compared to the Scoped SKS if you don't crit
With the remington you really need that AP ammo wich is the most rare ammo in the game(excluding some ammo you may not use, you need a ton to use the rifle)
The aimed shots are better because i do seem to inflict those mythical effects like enemy droping their weapon, about 1 in 30 shots or more
