Editing Carry Weight

Is there a way to edit my character's carry weight? Or even better, is there a way to modify how much additional carry weight each point of Strength gives?

Holy heck that was rough. Finally got it working, BTM was correct, If you dont use a hex editor on windows 10 it will ruin the save file and the game wont be able to detect it.

Basicall had to unpack the ".as" file, then edit the unpacked document with a hex editor. After that the file had to be repacked into a ".gz" and then renamed with a ".as" designation so the game would detect it.

Ok,what have we learned ?
The Notepad under Win 10 is Sh... :D
i love Win 7 ;)

Repack Problems solved now too

If that is correct, it might be the right thing for OP to use. Not for the person simply looking to change attributes/ skills though.

Thats what i normally use so it was the first thing i used in this case and needless to say it didnt work :D BUT tbf it did work on an older save in 0.9 when i tested stuff. apparently the game was less strict with accepting saves in 0.9 though.

A last Hint for Players who don't want edit for more Carring Weight
You can find a Ermac Backpack in Stalker Camp.(Dead City)
Just call with the Trader in the House (sits in the right Corner)
Solve the Quest "His Friend shoot him" and the follow Quest"hanged Girl without Eyeball"(Grave =upper right Corner Stalker Camp)
After the Quest and a bit talking you can take his Ermac Backpack at the Window
+58 kg -1 AP --3 Dodge

I just cant make it work.


I have done all above steps, but the game still cannot find my save game and removes the existing one.

Like if i edit the save_2_v10.as file, after i have extracted it and then re-compressed it with 7.zip
The game still cannot find the save, ingame.

I am out of ideas :P

First i tried the hex editor posted in here, but i have no clue where to look. I dont understand what i am seeing when i open my save file in there.

I'm using the cheat engine table and I can edit carry weight. I've also used the console command to add and remove perks. Everything is working perfectly, no need of hex editors.

I did figure out an easier way to edit stats. Use the console commands to add the jetvirus item (starnge serum in game). It increases any stat by one.

I wrote a guide for saved game editing. I edited my game fairly early on, to redistribute skill points after figuring out what the "useful" skills are.

The key thing is that if you want a valid saved game after editing, you have to avoid changing the overall length of the file.
