Quest help please (SPOILERS)

Hello,
I played this game for 50+ hrs and thought I did all available quests (or finished till quest needs update) until I read about some quests because I cannot find a piece of the shield.
I know that the help I ask can maybe spoil my fun but I was planning a replay with the new update anyway. So here are my questions:
- How to proceed at the Whalen farm: I finally got the son allowing me entry (after spending a lot of cologne's to buff my personality and speechcraft) and then his dad is an even harder nut to crack. How high does my speechcraft needs to be to be able to make him talk about what happened there? I did a number on his daughter and now she is only dreaming and not speaking anymore.
- I read somewhere there is a quest about 3 brothers. I never got that one. Where and how does it start?
- I know I have to find a missing part of the shield in a mysterious cave. I don't find the mysterious cave. I have also read there should be some quest with a sniper, some people called Smirnov and Ludmila and the possibillity to hire a companion. Did I completely miss something?
- I don't seem to find Dunya's father and after the Shishak trouble at Dan's I don't seem to find Dunya anymore either.
- Apparently there is a slave quest where you can raid a slaver complex but the man who gives the quest (with the map in a bar in Kasnoznamenny) doesn't want to talk to me anymore for some reason. Did I miss something or did something wrong or maybe forgot to do something?

I know I'm asking a lot but maybe someone can give me some pointers as how to proceed with any of these quests. All help would be greatly apprecited.

OK. I am new too. This is gonna be rough. This is all from memory of my first and only playthrough so I expect someone might correct anything I get wrong.

Whelen farm. No idea.

3 brothers. This is from Dan at the factory. It involves the farm nearby. Seems the 3 brothers turned up carrying the amulet of one of their daughters or some such. The dad killed em. Find out from mom what happened and tell Dan. It might be his second ? mission.

Mysterious cave is a location given to you during the mission with the sniper. Try inside the bar just inside the main town Kosmopolisxyzxxxkky. You may need to recruit Fidel behind the bar as a companion to trigger this but maybe not. I am unsure if the starter npc is at a table inside the door or if that's where he ends up later on. One guy is in starter town at the bar he wont help unless you recruit the sniper into the hit squad. It is an option to go to the cave and kill wolves to recruit her. If you don't then check for the cave on the east side of the mountain range east of the starter town. It might spawn just by searching for it. I dunno how to hire a companion out of this unless indeed getting Fidel is what is needed to trigger it. This is the last one you ask about. You get the 3 and raid the slavers camp with them. Make sure you have superglue to stick the shield together.
Dunyas father is a new one on me.

Dan never gave me a quest with the 3 brothers. I am already at the Shishak quest for Dan.
You mean the bar in Krasnoznamenny? I already enlisted Fidel a long time ago. It's not the guy you mean totally in the beginning or is it? That other ATOM soldier you meet in Otradnoje (starter town)? He is long gone.
I don't realy understand what you mean with the last "you get the 3 and raid the slaver camp." What 3? Don't you have to start the quest somewhere? I don't knoiw where the slavers camp is.

The three brothers quest comes soon after you meet Dan, but he sometimes gives you an alternate assignment instead; sounds like that's what happened in your case.
After Shishak hands you an unloaded gun to "execute" the Otradoyna tech guy, Dan will give you one of two quests depending on how you handled the test and Dan's follow-up questions. If Dan thinks you're tough and ruthless, he'll send you to muscle the moonshiners into cooperation. If he thinks you're more the smart perceptive type, he'll send you to investigate the fate of the three brothers.

Dunya's father is at the east gate of the moonshiners' compound. Like you say, Dunya and Sasha seem to leave Dan's factory during the trouble with Shishak. Smart move on their part, in my view, but I don't know if they ever come back, or if there's still any way to reuinite Dunya with her dad if you haven't already done so.

What stretch means by "you get the 3" was that you have to recruit three mercenaries for the Tactician, who is sitting in Fidel's old bar in KZM. Talk to the Tactician to start the quest; It has nothing to do with that other meathead from ATOM. If the Tactician no longer wants to talk to you, you may have failed to impress him on your first meeting. I don't know if there's any way to change his mind.

I have 3 pieces of the shield but i dont know where i can get the 4th.
Unfortunately i cannot remember anymore when and where i picked them up exactly.


According to Boris Sveklovs journal i guess 2(?) were from the mysterious cave.
1 i got from someone in Drunken Lair.
The 4th piece should have some Bandits from the Eastern Camp.

In worst case i sold 1 piece in the beginning.
Any ideas?

1 mysterious cave - 1 drunken lair - 1 bandit camp east - 1 otradnoye (where you find the journal and the first part o/t shield)

I'm also looking for the 4th shield piece. Where is this eastern camp / bandit camp east? I have come across nothing with this name. I did search the areas I could find on the eastern half of the map, incuding:

Thug Fortress
Rest Stop 6
Safe Journey Farm
End of the Line
Radio Bunker
Red Fighter
Bunker 317

don't need to go overboard with this, black_bob wrote the places that have the shield fragments, just retrace your steps and look again in those locations if you can't remeber exactly the places you already went in the main village you have to look around rock formations, just use the cursor to highlight the hidden stash

I have all the fragments except for the "bandit camp east". On my game I have combed the map for this place but have not seen it.

Which quadrant is it in? (north-east, northwest, southeast, southwest) Or maybe it is a place I have already been with a different name?

If you zoom into the places the names are legible. The houses with no circle are in development.

only a little....you missed the spot...so from red fighter, head south on the right side of the pass... between the lake and the mountain is a location ...get ready for a fight and for a new companion ;)
the strategy for the camp, stick to the walls and let them come out one after the other, you'll want their bullets

Dan gives two missions that are mutually exclusive when you pass his test.

-If you say you shot because the gun wasn't loaded he gives you the dialog/charm 3 brothers quest.
-If you say you shot because you wanted to put the guy out of his mistery (or a variation) you get the combat/intimidation quest at the distillery.


As for the 4th fragment, it should be in "Thug Fortress", you can talk your way in if you have high charisma/speech and you can buy the piece off them. Or you can just kill them all. If you killed the 3 guys at the bunker, you can kill these guys easily.

i entered the fortress very early in the game. so i cannot remember anymore.
it seems i could talk my way in.
i received a quest too:
Leader of the Thug fortress asked me to bring him 50 9mm bullets. In return, he promises to pay handsomly.

in all my playthroughs they attacked me, i fought back or died...those were my only 2 options -_-
