How to start the factory quest line?

I think I've nearly completed all game content so far, but I think I completely missed the Abandoned Factory quest line. The people there won't let me thru the gate, and I haven't killed anyone there yet.

I read some guides that says the quest starts in Otradnoye, from the Chairman, finding a snitch, but I never saw this quest available. Who and where is the Chairman? I've talked to all villagers in Otradnoye, no one seems to offer this quest.

Any help appreciated!

In order to start the quest, you need to talk to the barman, who will tell you to to talk to his sister to drink some alchohol. After that, she will ask you to collect 5 mushrooms (You can skip this with high speech.) She will then let you get the quest from the Chairman.

I've had that quest from her for a long time, but I had lost/sold the original 5 toadstool I got from that map in the beginning, so I'm having a hard time finding more toadstools to complete the quest. All the ones I pick from the wild are "Rotten Toadstool".

The Speechcraft requirement is either really high 148+ or I missed the opportunity to use the Speechcraft option, so it seems I have no choice but to collect 5 normal toadstools to progress.

Do you mean the circle of toadstools surrounding the "hidden stash" inside the Roaring Forest? I picked them all, but every single toadstool I pick in the wild is Rotten Toadstool :(

I combed the roaring forest 3 times now very thoroughly, including the entire underground area, and both exit areas, but found no normal toadstool, just the Rotten Toadstool ones.

Is that because I have low (42) Survival skill? Or is my Attention stat too low that I am not noticing normal Toadstool in the wild?

I was refering to the ring of mushrooms in the Roaring Forest. Sometimes scavangers sell them.

Yes, we're talking the same ring of mushrooms. I picked all of them, and all are Rotten :(

So you are saying, they turn out normal Toadstool when you pick them?

The issue with the toadstools is something that seems to have changed recently with one of the patches.

In all my previous playthroughs I could gather the 5 mushrooms in Otradnoye when circling the village.
In my newest game, all mushrooms I pick turn out as Rotten Toadstools (even in different maps), not sure if thats probably a bug.

However, having no Toadstools prevents me from getting the acknowledge, neccesary to get the factory questline from the townmajor.
