Bugged Quest Postman at Old Castle

So I completed this quest but I got a bug and the quest stays in my quest list, even though it's finished. So this was my second playthrough and I didn't want to listen to the Postman and his cryptic BS, so instead of talking to him, I just shot him the back of the head and took the package. I returned the package to the other dude and got the quest reward. But the quest itself stays in my quest list because I didn't talk to the guy and have him give me the package. It's obviously not game breaking, but it's annoying.

Thank you, we'll look into it, but with all due respect, this isn't really a bug... But there's a bug in your report too! We'll fix the fact that the player will get the quest and the reward at all, since if you were not asked to bring the package there should not be any quest or reward to begin with.

I got the quest from the fat guy at the Cavern-place. He told me to go get the package. I did, but instead of talking to the postman, I killed him, then picked up the package from his corpse. But the quest did not update when I picked up the package. The quest does not say talk to the man and get the package, it just says to find the package. However, even though I got the package and brought it back to the guy and he gave me the quest reward, the quest to "go find the package" is still in my quest log. That's a bug.
