or should i keep him alive, i still have a save, tho 4 hrs in on past, still workabul. i just did no know if its better to kill or not if theres any beafit to keeping him alive or having someone else kill him

Kill or keep him alive worth both a play, I prefer keep him alive but it worth play at least once kill him.

For letting him get killed by someone else, i never tried.

If you refuse to kill him, he still survives iirc.

Only done it once pre patch 1.1 - but iirc Rat will escape because he knows that the guard is the guard, so to speak.

He wants it done secretly to keep order. To prevent rumors. To prevent possible retribution from Dan, because if the villagers knew he would eventually learn about it, too. Better to keep him guessing, as the maiden farm quest illustrated. It's one of the sensible things to do in his position given the situation.

non justified lol did you even read what the villagers and guards had to say about the factory bandits? they murdered people simply for refusing to give them what little extra they made in trade. how do you think the bandits found out they made a little extra in trade?

Dan would've wiped out maiden spring simply for being witnesses what do you think he'd do to Otradnoye if Rat got jailed?

And really, jail? the entire village has 3 guards, 1 has to watch the treasury you think they can afford a jail?

That's the point the leader is totally out of the loop to believe he can setup an independent village in the context, he can't even have a jail.

He lives in dreamland and would have get all villagers killed or captured by slavers if there wasn't Dan.

Ok I don't remind Dan mercenaries killed villagers of the town.

What you don't get is it's a matter of fame, for the farm, it would have been the end of his plans. He can't lead a band of murderers and even thief.

That's right why I suspect you didn't read well, and Dan mercenaries never killed any villagers. But ok I don't remind, I haven't read the first dialog sine long.

EDIT: Dig the dialog with the doctor healing the bandit, you can have get him admit Dan protect the village.
