Can't make quality knuckleduster?

The recipe calls for the same ingredients as the svinchatka, so whenever I try to experiment for the knuckleduster recipe it just makes another svinchatka. How to fix?

I believe it's +1 Scrap metal +1 Brick and +1 Svinchatka.

I know this, but because a scrap metal and a brick already makes a svinchatka, the crafting menu ignores the svinchatka I'm using to make the knuckleduster and makes another svinchatka.

Try dragging and dropping the Svinchatka into the open crafting slot with the metal and the brick. I've noticed this with other crafting as well.

Make sure OP that "Experiment" is selected recipe when you put ingredients of brick,scrap and Svitchatka in their slots. If by acident you select "Svitchatka" recipe it makes Svitchatka, ignoring whatever else you put in the slots.

This hasn't been fixed, I still can't craft it.

I thought this was an issue when the same thing was happening to me. I seems more like you make the Svitchatka if you fail the Quality Knuckleduster recipe. I took me several tries but it eventually spit out a knuckleduster instead of a Svitchatka

Yes, that is the reason for this issue. It took me an embarrassingly long time to notice that, not helped by the fact active recipes are not highlighted distinctly enough.
