And I came to the same observation than Reef, I don't get why they want to explode me with grenades if they want to sell me on the market.
I prefer the AK-47 myself.
As for M16, it use 5,45 ammo (same as AKSU that is quite weird because NATO standard is using 5,56 but i believe devs didn't wanted to add another ammo type to loot table) as for vintorez , cheap ammo (9mm) and nice low single shot cost makes it very versality.
But in most circumstances old soviet army knife shouldbe remedy for all kind of problems ..;)
Them having more powerful weapons actually isn't the biggest issue but them starting off the encounter surrounding your squad with full line of sight is arguably unfair. Although Kovalev's assassination was a different scenario, I was able to beat the bandits there despite them having way superior firepower because of guard support and them not all having clear line of sight on your squad at the beginning. If the slave hunter scenario could be modified such that they do not surround you immediately or have to navigate obstacles to get clear shots on you, then I'd consider that to be a fairly balanced encounter. Still, the lack of enemy scaling with your character's level means such unfair encounters will continue, albeit randomly.
