Controls are not working ?
I tried to play this game with a controller, but none of the buttons besides A B X and Y would work. I then restarted the game and tried it with keyboard and mouse, but now WASD doesn't work :o Anyone know what is happening?

I have the same problem. I was looking forward to playing this game, but the controls just frustrate me.
I tried wireless XBox One controller, as well as cabled XBox 360 controller, both behave the same: A/B/X/Y/Start/Select work, LB/RB/LT/RT and D-Pad do not. I'm unable to navigate buttons in dialog boxes and the menu. Mouse and keyboard don't work either.

Has anyone an idea? Otherwise I'll refund it as it's only partly playable :(

Ok, I found the reason why it didn't work. I had vJoy installed. After disabling the "vJoy Device" in device manager, the XBox One controller worked correctly in the game. Just in case someone encounters the same problem.

Reposting from another thread as it applies here too - sorry you had this problem arkton, and glad you were able to fix it!:

Hello guys! Sorry to all of you having problems here. The game will pick up any controllers you might have plugged in (including virtual controller systems such as via vJoy) and present the button prompts. This can include very specialised controllers such as wheels, flight sticks and, I suspect, dance-mats as these will all, as far as games are concerned, be presenting themselves as some form of controller.

The easiest and quickest solution here is to simply unplug/disable your controllers before you boot up Sexy Brutale - you will know if this has worked as the mouse cursor will return and you will see keyboard-style GUI prompts in the place of the controller-style ones.

Ideally, as some of you have suggested, we would have allowed you to force an input scheme from the front-end and this is something we will look into. I'm really sorry this has been the first experience a lot of you had with the game and I hope you'll be able to get into it now with KBM and enjoy it!
